Meet our Team

Healing starts with the right connection. Our clinicians bring a range of specialties and life experiences to their work — but they all share one thing: a deep care for the people they work with. We'd love for you to get to know them.

The People Behind the Practice

We're a team of clinicians with a simple mission — to provide real, expert support to young people navigating life's challenges.

Feigi Katz

Founder & Psychotherapist

Feigi Katz, LCSW, has 15 years of experience working with clients from young children to young adults. She earned her Master of Social Work from Barry University in 2011 and, as a qualified supervisor and therapist, draws on CBT, DBT, EMDR, IFS, and play therapy to create a space that feels both structured and creative — one where real healing can happen. What sets Feigi's work apart is her knack for finding unexpected ways into hard material. She's always looking for creative, hands-on approaches that help clients not just understand something new, but actually carry it with them. Feigi specializes in supporting children and teens navigating trauma, grief, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm. She loves working with the whole family system, and especially loves working with post-high school girls figuring out what comes next.

Diana Malca

CLinical Supervisor and child psychotherapist

Diana Malca, LCSW, RPT-S, is a child, adolescent, and family therapist with over 25 years of clinical experience. A certified play therapy supervisor and widely regarded expert in child development, Diana supervises every clinician's work at Katz Creative Counseling— reviewing, guiding, and supporting each therapist closely so that clients benefit from her depth of expertise at every level of care. Clinically, she is passionate about helping children feel seen, understood, and emotionally safe. Her work integrates play therapy, trauma-informed care, EMDR, DBT-informed skills, and parts-based approaches, and she works closely with parents to deepen understanding of their child's emotional world. She is currently pursuing certification in Synergetic Play Therapy (SPT). Diana speaks English, Spanish, and Hebrew and values working with families from diverse cultural backgrounds. To schedule an appointment, contact her secretary Malkie at 305-816-6539.

Mindy Grossberg

Child Psychotherapist

Mindy Grossberg, LCSW, specializes in working with young children, bringing a deep toolkit and a calm, grounded and playful presence to every session. She earned her BSW from Concordia University in 2018 and her MSW from Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 2019, and has since built experience across community health centers, schools, and private practice. Mindy draws on Play Therapy, Synergetic Play Therapy, Sandtray Therapy, EMDR, IFS, and CBT — weaving them together in a way that meets each child where they are. Her focus is on creating a space where kids feel genuinely seen and safe — with the warmth and structure children need to do their best work. She works with children navigating anxiety, ADHD, emotional dysregulation, and depression, and has a particular gift for helping young minds build confidence and skills that carry beyond the therapy room.

Rochel Platt

Therapist

Rochel Platt, MSW, works with young children, adolescents, and adults, drawing on experience across therapeutic programs, youth-at-risk initiatives, school counseling, and private practice. She earned her Master of Social Work in 2012 and has built her career around creating meaningful, enduring change for the people she works with. After stepping away to raise her children, Rochel has returned with fresh energy and a deepened perspective — one that especially informs her work with families navigating the everyday complexity of raising kids. She also specializes in parenting guidance, helping parents build stronger connections with their children at every stage of development. Rochel has a particular gift for connecting with girls and young women, helping them approach their lives with curiosity rather than self-doubt — and for building the kind of real relationships where honest conversations can happen and lasting change can take root.

Esther Leah Sandhaus

Her work is grounded in CBT and ACT, with a particular gift for working with teens, helping them cut through the noise of adolescence and move through it with more clarity and confidence. Alongside her clinical work at Katz Creative Counseling, Esther Leah serves as Director of Chai Lifeline Southeast — a role that speaks to her clinical leadership and her long-standing commitment to the community. As a mother and grandmother, she brings a lived understanding of family dynamics that informs everything she does. Raizel Gordon

Child therapist

Raizel Gordon, MSW, works with children, adolescents, and young adults navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, grief, and life transitions. She earned her Master of Social Work from Wurzweiler School of Social Work in 2024 with a certificate in trauma-informed practice, and brings experience from both private practice and school settings, where she worked as a guidance counselor and social-emotional learning specialist. Raizel draws on play-based and art-based approaches alongside CBT, DBT, and IFS — meeting clients where they are and helping them find their own footing. She has a natural ability to connect, and her work is built on the belief that clients already have what they need inside them; her job is to help them access it. Outside the office, Raizel is happiest around animals and in nature — and that soft, calming presence comes through in the room, making it easier for clients to slow down and open up.

Orit Benayoun

Psychotherapist

Orit Benayoun, LMHC, works with children, adolescents, and adults, bringing nine years of experience in community mental health, private practice, behavioral therapy, and early childhood education. She earned her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University in 2017 and is fluent in English and Spanish. Orit specializes in anxiety, phobias, depression, ADHD, and mood disorders, using CBT, play therapy, solution-focused therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches to build trust and support real, lasting progress. Her early background in preschool teaching and behavioral therapy gives her a particularly strong foundation for working with younger children. Outside the office, Orit's greatest passion is being a mom to her four school-age children — an experience that brings a grounded, real-world perspective to her work with families and kids navigating the everyday ups and downs of childhood.
